“Cookies” policy

This Policy applies to “cookies” and applies to websites operated by LV Trade LIMITED based in Seychelles (hereinafter: “websites”).

What are “cookies”?

“Cookies” are understood as IT data, in particular text files, stored in end-user devices (such as a computer, telephone or tablet), sent via websites. These files allow to recognize the user's device and properly display the website tailored to their individual preferences, they enable displaying the website in the user's language “remembered” by these files, as well as the use of other website settings selected by the user. “Cookies” usually contain the name of the website they come from, the storage time on the end device and a unique number.

What do we use “cookies” for?

“Cookies” are used to adapt the content of websites to the preferences and device of the user and to optimize the use of websites. These files make it possible to save the user's choices regarding the language, browser, settings of selected elements of the website or resignation from profiled ads, as well as saving information about the user's location.

“Cookies” are also used to facilitate logging in to the user's account, including via social media, and to enable navigation between subpages on websites without having to log in again on each subpage. At the same time, “cookies” are used to secure websites, e.g., to prevent access by unauthorized persons.

They are also used to create anonymous, aggregated statistics that help to understand how the user uses websites, which allows improving their structure and content, excluding personal user identification. “Cookies” also help to ensure the polishing and smooth operation of websites, including website performance testing.

“Cookies” are also used to identify which advertisements the user has displayed, and to display advertisements most relevant to the user's activity on the websites.

What “cookies” do we use?

As a rule, two types of “cookies” are used – “session” and “permanent”. The first of them are temporary files that remain on the user's device until logging out of the website or turning off the software (web browser). “Permanent” files remain on the user's device for the time specified in the parameters of “cookies” or until they are manually deleted by the user. “Cookies” used by the website operator's partners, including in particular website users, are subject to their own privacy policy.

“Cookies” can be distinguished in detail due to:

A. Due to the necessity to perform the service

Functional - they are important for the operation of the website:

  • they are used to enhance the functionality of websites; without them, the website will work properly, but it will not be adapted to the user's preferences,
  • they are used to ensure a high level of website functionality; without them, the level of website functionality may decrease, but their absence should not prevent the full use of the website,
  • they serve most of the functionalities of websites; blocking them will result in the selected functions not working properly.

Business - enable the implementation of the business model based on which the website is made available; Blocking them will not make all functionalities unavailable but may reduce the level of service provision due to the inability of the website owner to generate revenues that subsidize its operation. This category includes, for example, advertising “cookies”.

B. Due to the time during which the “cookies” will be placed on the user's end device

Session “cookies” - “cookies” placed for the duration of the browser (session) use and are deleted after closing it or logging out of the website.

Persistent “cookies” - they are not deleted after closing the browser and remain in the user's device for a specified period of time or without a validity period, depending on the settings of the website owner.

C. Due to the origin – the website administrator who manages the "cookies"

Tracking pixels

LV Trade LIMITED also uses tracking pixels.

A pixel is a software code that allows you to embed an object on the website, usually a pixel-sized image, which allows you to track user behaviour on the websites where it is placed.

After giving the appropriate consent, the browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the server that stores the pixels, therefore the processing of data collected by the pixel takes place under the data protection policy of the partner who administers the above-mentioned server.

The partner may assign a visit to the LV Trade website to the account of a person who is registered on its website, also in correlation with a possible “cookie” assigned to a given user session.

Do “cookies” contain personal data?

As a rule, “cookies” do not constitute personal data. However, certain information stored in “cookies” (e.g., regarding preferences), especially when combined with other information about the website user, may be considered personal data. Personal data collected using “cookies” may be processed only to perform specific functions for the user, described above. Such data is encrypted in a way that prevents access by unauthorized persons.
